Autumn, especially in Vermont, is a short-lived period in the year where everything is invigorating. The summer temperatures that were like warm hugs slowly slip away and the crisp, dry air awakens our creativity, our longing for cold nights snuggled up next to the fireplace, and our motivation to be more and to accomplish more. I absolutely adore Autumn and find myself longing for the month of October in June.
With the incredible help of talented vendors, Autumn came early this year. This Wedding Inspiration was not only a huge project for me, but it was the first big event that I envisioned and created. The generosity and enthusiasm from all of the incredible women I worked with was completely mesmerizing. My unending gratitude goes out to everybody who believed in my odd idea of bringing Autumn to the middle of Summer and for doing so whole-heartily. I know this is a cliche phrase to say, but I genuinely could not have created a beautiful day without a team of wonderful vendors who are also lovely women. I am so fortunate to be a part of a community that encourages growth and compassion over competition.
Thank you to Lauri for letting us take over Boyden Farm for a long day of hard work and loads of fun. Thank you to Michelle who was the first one to suggest we do a wedding inspiration shoot. Thank you to Maddie for working with me on our inaugural wedding shoot, it came out so much better than I could have thought possible. Sarah, thank you, you have incredible hair & makeup artistry, it was beautiful to see my initial visions on our beautiful model Karly. Thank you to Karly for being such a model and for spending that morning with Deb and me trying on dresses it was so much fun! Deb, you were so much fun to work with, we were so fortunate to use one of your gorgeous vintage dresses. Thank you so very much to Emily (who is one of my favorite artists), your wearable art is everything and more. Sandra I love your unique jewelry and your passion for your work, thank you for bringing your amazing designs. Thank you Roberta for meeting with me and for making the whole process of choosing rentals easy and fun. Jenn thank you for bringing your hand lettered signs, they fit so wonderfully with everything. And lastly, Betsy, you always go above and beyond for your cakes, I’m always honored to photograph your delicious artwork.
