Welcome to the blog, home to Chicago's queer intimate wedding photographer for couples in love + their four-legged family.
(I'm here and queer!) 1. My first name is Mei Lin (she/her) 2. I'm part of the LGBTQ+ & BIPOC communities 3. I really love pugs! 4. I’m a huge musical theatre fan 5. I care deeply about animal welfare as well as social justice issues. 6. I incorporate sustainable practices throughout your wedding photography experience
The way Nic & Bree met and married each other is quite a full-circle story. They initially had a budding work romance where sparks immediately flew. After rescuing a pup named Kylo (yes — they are huge Star Wars fans!) and buying their first home together, Nic & Bree proclaimed their love in front of their closest friends and family during their amazing housewarming party, which coincidentally was their wedding day.
Continuing to work together as Studio DiBella this power couple planned, designed, and orchestrated all the decorative elements in their wedding. From the invitations, stationery, signage, over a hundred origami cranes, and the custom paper floral garland hung above their front door to their home, to the bouquets, Bree & Nic did it all.
They chose an epic first look location at the Old Stone Church and had a magical ceremony lit by over a hundred yellow origami cranes and fairy lights (that Bree folded herself). The most said phrase during their day was “This wouldn’t have been possible without Bree”; the love she put into the design work for her, her husband, and her guests was evident. To end a lovely day, everybody danced the night away just as the rain finally came to close off the wonderful evening.
Mei Lin (first name, pronounced "may-LYNN", she/her) is a queer pug-loving musical theatre enthusiast who's passionate about commemorating diverse couples in love and their four-legged family. Animal welfare, social justice, and sustainability are three things that are really important to her. Trans rights are human rights. Love is love. Stop AAPI Hate. Black Lives Matter.
