I am wishing a very happy Pride Month to all!

This is a fun combination celebrating two of my favorite things – dogs and the queer people that love them!

Many thanks to all the lovely humans + their fur babies that let me capture their queer joy and love in my work.

Picasso

Picasso (aka Pica aka Mistah Paws) is a border collie mixed breed. Picasso is a little shy but was very excited to celebrate the elopement of his beloved Shouly (she/her) & Colleen (she/her) earlier this year. Picasso gave his immediate approval to Colleen when Shouly met her – one of the reasons Colleen credits for their relationship’s success!

Pockets

Pockets is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix who was named for being pocket-sized! He loves playing with his fabric disc and being carried in his backpack while his parents bike around Chicago. He had a ton of energy and loved playing in the sand during his family’s photo session.

Ray (they/them) of Replogle Studios was busy shooting a wedding when Liana (they/them), a guest at that wedding, immediately became smitten. Ray didn’t even realize Liana spent the night flirting with them because they were focused on getting the right shots. Talk about a meet-cute!

Dante

Dante is a cutie whose size surprised his parents at his Craigslist adoption as they were expecting a larger dog. His big personality more than made up for his small stature and they immediately fell in love.

Alexa (they/them) & Emily (she/her) are college sweethearts who have been together for twelve years! Since their freshman year, their family has grown by three with Dante and his two cat siblings Mu & Simon.

Winnifred

Winnifred (aka Winnie aka Fred) is a lab/boxer/collie mixed breed. She loves her moms with all her heart despite being nervous about new people and experiences. She was happy to make a brief appearance during her moms’ special day and spend time with them at their sweetheart table.

Carrie (she/her) and Rhiannon (she/her) had a beautiful intimate wedding at a historic garden house where they celebrated with their loved ones and ended the night with ice cream sandwiches.

Kona

Kona is a very good boy with lots of energy who was so excited for his photo session. Unlike many shyer dogs, he needed time to calm down rather than amp up for his time in front of the camera. Once he smelled all the smells on the beach and played with his moms, he was more than ready for his time to shine.

Emma (she/her) & Maya (she/her) met through their college sorority. A chat about what classes to take soon turned into a date that blossomed their lovely relationship.

Lio

Lio, named after the Liopleurodon dinosaur, was very excited to celebrate her moms’ special day. Lio, no stranger to Chicago’s wind, spent the ceremony in her mom’s bag and happily popped out for photos in her pink tutu.

Rya (she/her) & Britt (she/her) are a lesbian love story for the ages with all the tropes to go along with it including a nine-hour first date that Rya didn’t know was a date and moving in together three months later. They had their first kiss, got engaged, and said “I do” in Chicago’s Lurie Garden.
